Photographing an apartment in Mayfair, I worked with a top interior designer based in Knightsbrige, London. For this shoot, I used a Canon R5 with 24mm and 17mm Tilt/Shift lenses, 2 Profoto B10s, wirelessly tethered into a laptop.
There is a general view for luxury, interior photography. By keeping the lights of the interior of a house or apartment turned off helps to create a natural feel and an even, light temperature meaning better quality photos. Artificial lighting makes the photos less attractive. I try to use as much natural light as possible.
Interior photography is almost entirely about troubleshooting; getting the right light, the right colour, dealing with shadows and reflective surfaces, having enough space to set up your equipment, all these things seem to collude against you so it's important that I rely on my technical abilities and experience to get the results my clients require.
The most important thing is that I never rush in getting that perfect, interior shot.
